only complaints are that none of the characters are likeable except poor basil </3 and also that it started to drag in certain parts, making it hard to get through. the main thing that made me give the rating that i gave is both how thought provoking it is and how beautifully written it is. lines from this book are definitely going down as some of my favorites, most of them spoken by my beloved basil hallward.
