The Principles of Communism by Friedrich Engels

fast-paced
I'm a USAmerican

It centers Europeans and Roman slavery instead of chattel slavery. Maybe i just need to read a translation or something

That being said it's in listicle format, so it's a good read if you can get over some of that sort of shit. / Meanwhile I'm reading "slavery and social death" by Orlando Patterson to get knowledge of how chattle slavery is a subtype

That being said when ML's say that ML is a science, they mean the science is used to update this book. So yeah, it was interesting to see what the ground base for Marxism is since I've been studying socialism for several years & yet hadn't read this yet. That being said, it would be nice to see like a scientific update of this book, such as for the eurocentrism of the term "slavery" & how revolution is now believed to take place in the peripheries instead of the imperial core.
