Can Leigh Bardugo write a bad book? The answer is no, even Ninth House, a branch outside of the Young Adult sphere, Bardugo still manages to captivate and entertain. The mc Alex's backstory doesn't relate to my own in any way yet I found myself relating to and sympathizing with her. The magic system is fantastical yet fascinatingly grounded in reality and left me wanting to jump into this world of secret societies, and college politics. I would recommend this book to anyone who loves magical realism, mysteries, and a bit of murder. Ninth House is an instant love on my shelf and I can't wait to pick up the sequel, Hell Bent!
