This campy and cute murder mystery will leave you hungry for more (and just plain hungry 😘) And it is for that reason that I am casting all my BALUTS 🐣 to this book as my favorite read of the month!! (A.K.A. it was a 5⭐️read)
As a Filipino-American who grew up with a large family that included everyone from my cousins to our family friends, I could feel the love and community from our culture. I loved reading about all the foods that I grew up eating, and it made me so happy to think that there are readers learning about my favorite foods for the first time. This story not only warmed my heart but it also kept me on my toes, leaving me guessing all the way until the end!! (No spoilers, but I really liked the end! 🥰)
Usually I don't read mystery books, but with Adobo on the cover AND in the name, I definitely had to give this one a try and I was so so happy I did!!!
