On the Come Up by Angie Thomas

5.0

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ loved everything about this story. Even if you aren't in to hip hop/rap music, Bri's story is captivating from start to finish. This book addresses serious issues such as racism, poverty, addiction, perserverence, and finding out who you are meant to be all while being a super fun read. This is my secong Angie Thomas book (the first being THUG) and her writing is just *chef's kiss*. I can't wait to read Concrete Rose.
