This is objectively an excellent book. While it is not precisely a short story collection it does suffer from the fact that some character perspectives are much more engaging than others, and a few stories felt rather cliched, as had been mentioned in other reviews.
Nevertheless, I really enjoyed the interlocking nature of the stories, and that fact that you sometimes saw the same thing from different perspectives. I'm also just happy that this is a popular book, because it is a tough book at times but gives voice to do many important themes in it's run time.
