Quibbles out of the way first:
- Length - Come on. This could have easily been 3/4 or 1/2 as long. 650 pages is still a storming long book!
- Show, don't tell - Lil preachy, my man. Lil on the nose. Could use some subtlety.
THAT ASIDE - this is one hell of a book. Yes it's long, BUT I was never once bored. Yes there are 5,000 POVs and at first I was like .... Brandon. Sir. This is too many. But they all tied together so well and the story was so good. A delicious feat. (I mean, it had to be. Gotta last me until book 6 comes out in ... 6 years. More if Bran San accidentally writes a few more unplanned books in the meantime.) What can I say? The man can tell a story.
