Big yikes all around. 🫣 Ignoring the whole tan and dirty thing, Peter and Jamison are just not even likable. Peter misgynistic man child and serial cheater. Jamison constantly INTENTIONALLY hurting Daphne whether he says he loves her or not. He had me for a second. A SECOND. But then the whole counting down til she was 18 and he could get sexy with her? BIG NO. And Daphne? Backbone pls. Where is it? Waffling back and forth between these red flags?? And not considering trying to go home until the end?? She takes everything at face value. How many times are you gonna believe Peter when you KNOw he's got the memory of a goldfish and the mind of a child??? I' m assuming this is book 1 in a series so I can let SOME of the plot/pacing slide but right now I dont' really see what it is. I just...ugh.
