Earthsea: The First Four Books by Ursula K. Le Guin

5.0

Tehanu was by far my favourite of this quartet, and pushed the collection over into '5' territory. It was very moving and relatable and full of tension in a way the first three books just weren't, even though they dealt with far grander events. The first three books are still very good as more standard fantasy and Le Guin's prose is very beautiful and evocative, but they feel much more emotionally distant and 'arm's-length'.
