The Wheel of Osheim by Mark Lawrence
4.0

The Wheel of Osheim is a satisfying end to the Red Queen's War, though the bulk of the book itself is a noticeable far cry from Lawrence's other tales. There's far more action here than previous books, with a lot of it packed into one particular chunk of the book that went on way too long. Mark's writing feels a bit weaker here than in past installments, and the plot reflects this since most of the important story bits are shoved together in the last fifty or so pages with little breathing room in between.

This being said, Jalan's story arc is great, Snorri's is touching, and nearly every character gets some form of worthy conclusion. It's a worthwhile read to finish up the trilogy, but it's far from the best the trilogy or Mark Lawrence have to offer (that's the Liar's Key!).
