4 I’m shattered stars. I’ll be 100% honest up until page 600 I genuinely didn’t think I had connected with these characters but man was I wrong. This book was heart breakingly beautiful with excellent writing. Jude, Willem, Andy, Harold, and Malcom deserve the world. Seeing Jude and Willem’s friendship grow and evolve and how they were there for each in different ways was so special. Overall, was this a book I will read again… no because why would I willingly choose to put myself through that again? Also would this be a book I recommend often: probably not. However, it was still an excellent read and great piece of literature and I don’t regret reading it. Time well spent!
