Get a Life, Chloe Brown by Talia Hibbert

3.0

I honestly went into this book with high expectations. Which is perhaps why I’m not all that impressed. The first half of the book was super fun to read! The banter was so funny, the cat in the tree scene made me literally laugh out loud. But after that, the magic was lost to me when the steamy scenes made their appearance! I’m not a prude about erotic romance, but I was suuuppperrr uncomfortable reading these scenes? Not sure why!

Red was a great character. Chloe was funny. Gigi was a hoot. It was really great to see the character development. How they held eachother accountable. The realness of mental health and chronic disease. (All these alone make it 3 stars for me)

But halfway through I found myself just wishing to get to the end because I was annoyed with the story.

It will give you a good laugh that’s for sure! Not sure if I’ll read the other two books in the Brown Sister trilogy.
