Happy Place
by Emily Henry
Emily Henry writes compelling characters which take root in my heart quite easily and Happy Place was no exception.
This story is told from the point of view of Harriet, who hasn't been together with Wyn for 6 months now but neither of them can bear to tell their closest friends the truth.
When they're invited to THE COTTAGE for one last friend gathering before it's sold, Wyn and Harriet decide to pretend they're still together for the sake of the group.
I love how this story focuses on not just romantic relationships but friendship and how things change as you get older. Happy place is a really appropriate name for the story as well as it explores just what your happy place is.
