The Family Upstairs by Lisa Jewell

5.0

Okay, let me start by telling you that putting this book down for any reason whatsoever, Even though, this is my second time reading, was very hard!
The book is so grippy, so enchanting, twisted, exciting, saddening and mysterious all at once.

THE FAMILY UPSTAIRS is about an adopted girl, as soon as she turns 25, she inherits a mansion. This mansion has a history, her history and she tends to find out what happened there, why her parents and an anonymous man were in a cult and decided to commit suicide and free their spirits.
Soon as she keeps digging, with the help of a Journalist, the truth starts to unravel.
The ending is not what I expected at all.

The rhythm of the story, the smoothness of telling it, the suspense and mysteriousness, the unraveling of events, the twists and warps, the sudden turn of events, and mostly importantly, the truth finally coming out.

This book is going to keep you up all night wanting to finish as soon as possible just to know what had really happened!
