Alice's Farm: A Rabbit's Tale by Maryrose Wood

5.0

Such a great book --sweet (but not treacly) and humorous. A young family moves to a farm from Brooklyn. Alice, a young rabbit, makes it her mission to help save the farm from a developer --making some unlikely friendships along the way (dog, fox, eagle and boy). Lots of life lessons and philosophical ideas to contemplate.

The feeling of slipping one's coat over pajamas is the feeling of adventure. p 163
Saying goodbye to Doggo made the rabbits quiet for a long time. It was an autumn feeling, a feeling of things changing, seasons ending, attention turning inward. P271
