The book really picks up on the third part. The first two parts are slow and often consist of characters having similar circular conversations with each other. I liked the concept and the world this book builds. The tense final act really makes up for the sluggish first two.
There were times where I felt the characters were unemotional or unconcerned about things that should have bothered them more. But I can forgive it since the plot would not progress of the characters were more concerned about their dire circumstances.
