Geek Charming
by Robin Palmer
Geek Charming is an amazing breezy summer read that starts as a cliche story about a popular girl and a geeky guy. It is anything but that. Geek-Boy, aka, Josh, wants to be a film director/producer/whatever. And after helping Popular Girl, aka, Dylan, get back her wet purse from a fountain, they make a deal. The deal is that Josh can film Dylan and her friends so that he can make a not-so-cliche documentary about popularity from the inside, to get into the university he wants.
That's basically the plot. At times I felt it was a bit slow, given that I have already seen the movie, and it saddens me to say, the movie is way better. Sure a lot of stuff got cut out of the film, but some of those parts weren't vital to story, it just added time so it wouldn't seem all rushed in like a week or something.
So yeah, great read, and an amazing movie to accompany it with, I'm thinking I'm gonna watch it again soon.
