Captain America: Winter Soldier, Volume 1 by Ed Brubaker

In one word: Underwhelming. Lots of back story, lots of time spent on Agent 13, Nick Fury, Nomad, Bucky Barnes, and various villains, what time there is spent with Cap alternates between him brooding and hallucinating, there's not a ton of action, and the final issue is an aside focused solely on Nomad, which isn't very good. Oh, and not much is resolved by the end of this volume, as the arc finishes in [b:Captain America: Winter Soldier, Volume 2|106041|Captain America Winter Soldier, Volume 2|Ed Brubaker|https://d202m5krfqbpi5.cloudfront.net/books/1298553872s/106041.jpg|102217]. So I guess I have another trade paperback to read before seeing the movie. Hopefully I get a satisfying resolution, and Cap kicking some ass, in this second volume.
