Love Notes from the Hollow Tree by Jarod K. Anderson

emotional hopeful inspiring lighthearted mysterious reflective

3.5

I love Anderson's poetry and this book includes my favorite poem of his ("Clergy"). I enjoyed this reflexive, loving and weird meditation on our place as humans in the ecosystem we call Earth. Anderson's poems are short and surprising, trying to erase the arbitrary line we draw between "nature" and "humanity."

That said, I think I enjoyed his first collection, "Field Guide To The Haunted Forest" more as a whole. This one feels a little bit less cohesive, in my opinion.

Still excellent and a short read
