this series took such a turn but gotta say I was here for it! giving an extra .25 stars for the
TA Geoff reveal, which made me lose my goddamn MIND it was so unserious. because in all sincerity I do prefer an ending that ties together our previous cast of characters over an ending that tries to make me care about a bunch of random new people - see my review of The Final Gambit - but WOW was I not expecting to get any sort of closure on TA Geoff. why would JLB ever think I wanted closure on TA Geoff. but the fact that she did that for us is simply so iconic. I hope I don’t remember one single thing about this series in a year except TA Geoff. long live TA Geoff.

also, I’d be remiss if I didn’t make my concluding remarks on the love triangle:
Dean still feels like SUCH a stale white bread nothing character to me I’m sorry 😬 and while Michael As Written ended up kind of a total douchebag - truthfully I do think Lia can and should find a better man than him - I still believe in the potential that MY Michael from book 1 had. in a different universe he absolutely could have been booktok’s dream man and I stand by this.

lastly I love sloane with my whole heart please protect her
