Good Dog McTavish by Meg Rosoff

4.0

I had an advance copy of this, which was missing some of the illustrations and the final typsetting, but that didn't stop me enjoying this middle grade story a lot. It's a charming story of a dog and his adopted family - and how he brings them together and makes them better. I think children will love this - I just need to go into a book shop and see what the final look and illustrations are. The blurb in the front tells me that it is from a publisher who focuses on accessibility for dyselxic readers (but without ghettoizing them) so I'm interested to see what it looks like in the flesh so to speak. It's a charming story whatever it looks like.
