It has been a few years since I have picked up a book but when I came across Fairy Tale it was hard to say no to it.  I wanted to know what a Stephen King fairy tale looked like, and I was not disappointed.  King does an incredible job of paying homage to the fairytales we grew up with while also crafting a story that is true to King.  King starts his story in the “real world” by introducing us to Charlie, Mr. Bowditch, and Radar.  Through these characters he builds up our curiosity as well as the story’s tension and hooks you into the story.  I don’t want to give too much away but Fairy Tale is filled with characters that you will fall in love with, and a rich story that will remind you why King is such a great writer and why his career lasted for decades.
