Another beautiful book by Broadbent. I loved how unique and effortless this book came across while being entirely captivating. I've only recently discovered Broadbent's work but she has become a fast favorite. This story was no different from The Serpent and the Wings of Night in that it was absolutely beautiful.

I really liked Lilith who was set on discovering the cure for her sickly village and being torn by her wild curiosity of the vampire that could save them. The dynamic between the two was gripping and while I think this story was perfect, I wish it had been a little bit longer.

I am looking forward to seeing how these characters connect with the rest of the series.
