This delivered exactly what I’ve come to expect from Donlea — a fast-paced, engaging read with his signature back-and-forth between characters and timelines. The parallel stories of Kelsey and Becca were especially compelling and kept me hooked enough to finish it in three days. The twist that

Brad was still alive and Jack died in the plane crash genuinely surprised me, even if Brad ultimately being Becca’s killer made sense in the end
