Scabby Queen by Kirstin Innes

4.0

I loved the structure of this book, looking at the opinions and experiences of a range of different people who all knew one woman at various points in her life. The characters were all very real and flawed, including Clio herself. I also enjoyed how much of the book was set in Scotland and the references to Scottish politics - so often overlooked in UK literature (and the media) as a whole. I've given 4 stars rather than 5 as I felt the first 15% and the last 15% dragged a bit, though I absolutely loved the middle sections and would still highly recommend this.
