Home After Dark by David Small

4.0

This was highly atmospheric, heartbreaking, and uncomfortable. It wasn’t a pleasant read and certainly not a lighthearted one, but the illustrations were very well done and put emotion and feeling behind the words. I didn’t love the vulgarity but it did create a bleak and ominous picture, which the author seemed to be going for. I still struggle with how to rate graphic novels - such a new genre to me!
