The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde

4.0

there's a lot to this book.
it makes you think about the value of experience, whether experience alone is fulfilling, or whether there must be an emotional, personal side. it also shows the tragedy of a life without compassion and the danger of a life without restraint. it reminds me of dr. jekyl and mr. hyde, insofar as it explores what happens to a man when all that is good in him is smothered and silenced.
i think it is very much worth reading.
