Super quick read with some funny stuff added for good measure. There were elements that I liked a lot and then some that frustrated me.
I loved that the "damsel in distress" was in no distress.
I loved the huge zombie ball.
I enjoyed the illustrations. They complimented the story well.
It did make me a little crazy that there was no explanation on how the monsters came to be. (I'm sure it didn't disturb the target audience.)
It also frustrated me that ALL of Jack's foster families had been so terrible.
Maybe some things will be resolved/revealed in Book #2.
