bionicjulia 's review for:
Religion for Atheists
by Alain de Botton
As someone who doesn't care too much about organised religion, I found this book rather interesting. It helped take some of the emotion out when considering what some of the benefits of religion actually are (or at least managed to dissect out what has made religion so successful). de Botton's suggestions seem to mostly make sense, and I would say that though not all might be practically applied, it does at least get us all to start thinking in the right direction.
I found the first half of the book interesting, but it got a little repetitive towards the end. Still worth a quick read I say.
