Black Science, Vol. 1: How to Fall Forever by Rick Remender
5.0
This was my first read of Rick Remender and what a way to start!
This was a grim, gritty, dark book that was pure FUN! Great sci-fi pulp. Matteo Scalera just let himself off the leash. So many imaginative creatures and dimensions.
At first, when I read the first issue, I was irritated, because I thought, "And why couldn't this protagonist have been a woman? Or a different race." But as this series went on, it really became a tale of the folly and hubris of the white man.
Great series and I am eagerly anticipating the next volume.
