This is the third book of Pratchett’s Tiffany Aching series and I still can’t get enough of his witch characters. While it lacked a little bit of the magic and wonder of the first book (The Wee Free Men) I still loved the ongoing saga of Tiffany’s growth as a witch and a person. She’s right up there with Hermione Granger for best teen witch, in my books! This is definitely a series I’d put into the hands of a little girl (along with Harry Potter and Patricia Wrede’s Enchanted Forest Chronicles).
