From Duke Till Dawn by Eva Leigh

3.0

I enjoyed the story line, especially Cassandra's efforts to rely on herself and leave a life of crime behind her. There were enough things about the writing that bothered me that I can't rate this higher. For instance, the use of "lowly" when the hero spoke in a low tone of voice. That isn't what "lowly" means. The pacing was good and the drama was high, including abduction, fistfights, and frantic chase scenes through the dark and twisty streets of London. I liked that Alex, the duke and the hero, grew in trust and self-awareness because of his relationship with Cassandra. I think I possibly was not in the right mood for this one. I will try the next in the series.
