Fix Her Up by Tessa Bailey

4.0

All my neck was sweating from the heat. It was intense. I enjoyed both characters and found the story line charming and funny.

Best parts of the book:
-Georgie is hilarious. Her sister and the Just Us League really kept the humour going.
-The sex scenes. Pure fire.
-The seamless interaction and friendliness of both Georgie and Travis. I find romance novels tend to over extend on the "we're enemies but we're slowly falling in love" plot line but that wasn't the case in this book, although it had the - you're my best friend's little sister mantra - it still flowed natural.

Cons of the book:
- The overused, and frankly tiring, scene where one persons betray's the other's trust to cause some drama. Seriously, they were going so well that by page 320, I was ready for a sneak peak into the future and was really disappointed by the random drama that seemed really forced. The book was well enough on its own without it.
-Travis' use of 'babygirl' - may it's just me but it grated on my last nerve. Georgie was trying to get away from the image of being thought of as a child, yet he insisted on call her by that phrase and it just didn't seem to align with the story.
-The book's title. I don't think Georgie needed any 'fixing', frankly she had it pretty together. Travis doesn't 'fix' anything other than her fireplace so the book's title just gives a really different impression than what's underneath its covers (see what I did there...). A better book title would have been more appropriate.
