Twenty Love Poems and a Song of Despair by Pablo Neruda

4.0

4.5 ⭐️ - This poetry collection made me cry like a song would. I don’t think I have ever felt more connected to a set of poems in my life. His verbiage was very similar to Gregory Alan Isakov’s lyricism if you’ve ever analyzed it. It contains deeply human emotions- sorrow and despair and infatuation and connects them all together through references to nature- the ocean, the wind, the rain, the night and the day. It’s beautiful and enthralling.
