A cozy, found-family story about the trials and triumphs of Natalie Tan, a cook who returns to San Francisco in hopes of reconnecting with her mother and grandmother. I agree with one of the previous reviews that it does feel slow in the beginning but picks up towards the second half of the book. Some parts felt a bit choppy and there were times where it felt more like explaining rather than storytelling. However, the ending was satisfying and I felt warm by the end of the book. Definitely a good read for fans of mother-daughter stories.
