The Immortal Rules by Julie Kagawa
5.0
Actual rating: 4.9
I loved this book the third time around! My copy is so beat up. I read this when I was 13 and I never really finished the series. I needed some comfort reading to get me through a reading slump, this for sure got me through it.
I care so much for the characters which is rare for me. While the romance may not be the best I've read, it certainly adds to the book.
The fast-paced nature of the plot is so addictive and suspenseful. I didn't remember all of the different scenes and problems, THERE'S SO MANY.
Kagawa is also not afraid to kill of characters which I love as well. While some things aren't likely, it's a YA paranormal, you got to suspend some disbelief.
I love Alison as a main character because she's imperfect and but also a pretty good hero. She chooses to be a vampire out of weakness and deals with the consequences.
Altogether I wholly enjoyed this again and I will be rereading for years. I will continue this series 100%.
