This book had a lot of potential and unfortunately I did not enjoy it as much as I hoped I would. This was a highly anticipated 2024 release and I found myself more annoyed with the characters than anything. They’re supposed to be in their 30’s but a lot of the decisions that they make feel a bit immature. I really wanted to see more connections amongst the characters. It had the potential to come together nicely but fell short. The ending was so rushed and it felt as though she was cramming things in last minute.

Also, I would have changed aspects of Tyson/how she approached his character. As a person of color, I would suggest a sensitivity reader to make sure you’re accurately depicting our experiences.
