King of Greed by Ana Huang

5.0

I can honestly say that I was missing out on something by never having read a Marriage in Trouble book before. I simply adore this trope so much since, in contrast to several other tropes, it all felt quite realistic. This was such a fantastic book. Without a doubt, my all-time favourite Ana Huang book is this one. Although Alessandra Davenport is happily married to Dominic Davenport, the Wall Street kingpin, and her college sweetheart, things are not always as they seem behind the scenes. Alessandra and Dominic were captivating characters with exquisite writing. Plus, Dominic is the King of Grovelling; fight me on that, I dare you. Dom spent ninety percent of the book demonstrating to Ale his love and devotion through a variety of actions, words, and guarantees. I was not prepared for the angst, even though Ana warned us all, so this one broke my heart—possibly because it was my first marriage in a crisis book. I was truly touched by Alessandra and Dominic. While reading their narrative, I was screaming, crying, and a complete mess at times. I really enjoyed the novel's pace; I devoured it in a matter of hours. The chapters were short and simple to follow. I believe readers will fall in love with the book's many wonderful moments right away, and they will quickly become famous quotes that will be shared all over bookstagram. I really enjoyed every minute of reading this book. Even though I haven't read their book yet, I really enjoyed Christian and Stella's little appearance. I'm excited to see where the remainder of this series goes. I'm chomping at the bit for Vuks' (Serb) novel, even though I believe Xavier and Sloane's will be next.
