Prince of Agony

This is hands-down, the best book in the series and nothing could convince me otherwise lmao. I thought nothing could top Julien and Whisper’s story, because in my opinion, no subsequent book in the series has a better story than the first one. They all pale in comparison. But finally! I am so glad that this one actually managed to rise to the challenge.
All throughout, Lucien keeps making me laugh with his side comments because oh my God, he is very sassy. I did not expect that. I always thought that Lucien‘s book is going to be very serious because in the previous books he is imposing and all serious-like, but he actually makes me crack. In one scene, he was trying to be mad… while cradling a fluffy rat lmfao. I almost never make highlights on Kindle but I can’t help highlighting his one-liners cause they are noteworthy for me. Let’s not also forget to mention how his dragon is similarly funny and cute. I love how Tezurit is very smug about all the little things that she does and is very nosy. And Kazia is just so precious. I have always liked his very snarky personality in his brothers’ books and I have been looking forward to his story thinking his book will be entertaining because of said personality. I would have never thought that behind that snarky personality is a very tortured person, literally. I am happy to report that he got his very very happy ending.
This just wonderfully ties up everything in this series and I’m just now a bit sad to see it ending. I hope Tavia Lark would write more fantasy books/series since they’re becoming rare nowadays. I’m definitely looking forward to reading what comes after this.
