I mean, if we're getting technical, this book would really be like a 3.75 stars, but I'll just go ahead and round up.
I didn't hate it. Didn't love it, but didn't hate it. Which, realistically, is a feat. SpoilerI'm not a fan of third act break-ups, and the entire point of this book was a third act break up. It was done... well? Like I said, I didn't hate it, so that counts for something. I loved the redemption arc that was a big chunk of this book. And, while we'd all love to scream from the rooftops that we wouldn't act this way if we'd been crushing on someone for our entire lives, let's be real, love makes us blind and stupid, so though I wanted to smack Lucy over the head for the first half of the book when Felix was an idiot, I understood it.
Overall, cute. It's always nice to see someone take their head out of their ass, even if it's just fictional.
2nd Read: I think I enjoyed it far more this time around. He was a grade A jerk, but he was also a grade A groveler. And also, I've since read the second book in the series... How is Ollie more dense and idiotic than Felix?
