Certainly the best of the celebrity and Instagram poets, which isn’t too generous of a complement. Halsey certainly isn’t lazy and has some rich interesting topics, but needs a bit more finesse.

I’m particularly impressed with her ability to use very jarring purposefully uncomfortable metaphors, and she has song like rhythms in some pieces. Nevertheless, seems like she doesn’t have much knowledge of form, and some of her rhyming seems juvenile.
