This one took me a second to fully digest. I knew what I was going into, so the trafficking and torment wasn't surprising, and I think it was written well. I was fully invested in Evan and Noelle.
But like. What the fuck was the rest of it? The entire plot was a grudge match between two old men, one who was genuinely a criminal and one who was devastated from a pretty shit life, and some really weird ass hoops to get to the conclusion.
Callie was very unnecessary to the story, considering how quickly the whole "oh yeah lol this almost adolescent is yours!" blew over, and it was kind of hard to suspend disbelief throughout act two.
Meh 🤷♀️
