The Cabin at the End of the World by Paul Tremblay

5.0

When am I going to learn that some of my favorite books, are rated the lowest on Goodreads?! I kept putting off reading this book because of the mixed reviews. Also, I really didn’t care for Survivor Song, I actually DNF’d that one because I just got so bored. After reading this The Cabin at the End of the World, I may give it another try? I really loved so much about this book. The author had me at the edge of my seat and made me feel the tension and fright the characters were feeling. Cults and end of the world are two of my absolute most favorite tropes so this was a home run!! While this wasn’t necessarily about a cult, it gave cult vibes. Also, I think what made me even more invested, were the parts about a pandemic and people with masks, felt all too real. With the things that are going on in the world and the misinformation that is spread daily online, you could totally believe that these four people are real people and that this very thing could actually happen today!! I could honestly keep going, but I feel that I’m just rambling so I will leave off with this….. ignore the rating and just read it lol
