The Road to Perdition by Max Allan Collins
4.0
4.5 Would have given it 5 stars but unfortunately, the art, while largely very good, is inconsistent. Specifically, it's fairly realistic art but the danger in that is if you can't replicate how your characters look, and you have a lot of characters, it's unnecessarily distracting and confusing. But, I will say this comic/graphic novel and the film adaptation are one of the rare examples where I like both about equally but for different reasons. The Tom Hanks and Paul Newman characters are more sympathetic and complicated in the film than in the comic but otherwise the film follows the comics quite closely (if memory serves).
