Ankle Snatcher by Grady Hendrix

3.0

I liked the premise/monster of the book. Grady gives a very tidy set up (re:short) to the reveal of the monster in the story. Grady's description of the titular Ankle Snatcher is deliciously horrific, and I want another scene with it. Since the reveal takes place so early the rest of the story just kind of trickles to an end. Since the MC seems resigned to his fate now, I guess I, the reader also stopped caring about the implications. Grady tries rouse them again at the end, but too little too late.
