Chasing You by Felicity Snow
4.0

Emmett and Cash were such a great couple to start with as a debut novel.

Emmett is a high school teacher, bisexual, handsome and has a problematic crush on Cash.
Cash is a high school senior, gay, handsome and has a problematic crush on Emmett.
What makes their mutual crushes problematic? Emmett is Cash’s teacher, a confidant of sorts and the first person Cash comes out to.
Cash graduates high school and goes off to college. Emmett is both sad and relieved at not seeing Cash’s handsome face every day, but knows it is for the best. 5 years later Emmett is engaged to a woman, still teaching at the high school and happily planning his wedding. After the first day of school, Emmett heads to his favourite coffee shop where he is surprised to see Cash. Even more surprising is that Emmett still seems to have feelings for his former student. When Emmett mentions being engaged, Cash looks devastated, but covers it well.

When Cash shows up at school as a new teacher the following day, Emmett realizes that his life just became very difficult. The two men come to an unspoken agreement to be friends, with their more-than-friends feelings hidden from one another. As they grow closer, Emmett’s wedding grows closer and closer.

Will Emmett choose to marry Harper, his fiancée, or will he and Cash admit to being in love and spend their lives together?

I received a complimentary copy of this book and, as always, my review is unpaid and honest.
