Slaying the Vampire Conqueror by Carissa Broadbent

3.0

I really wanted to like this book more. I love this world in The Serpent & The Wings of Night and was excited to dive in more. Unfortunately I found the plot extremely predictable and I was correct. I really felt that Sylina's seer abilities could have been explored way more. That being said I was very intrigued that she gave up her eyes for her Goddess and has the ability of a different kind of sight. That element was my favourite part of this book. I wanted more of Atrius' stoic dominant personality to shine; we only got small glimpses. Overall the story wrapped up in a perfect blow at the end which felt rushed.
