High Fidelity by Nick Hornby
5.0
This is a nostalgic 5-star rating of a book that I've read roughly 10 times.
I disliked the fact that my brain kept referencing the movie. It ruined some of the characters for me.
I used to fully recognize myself in these pages, but I saw only glimpses this time around. It's still funny and relevant and well-written, but I wasn't moved in the same way that I expected to be.
I find it strange and even a little comforting that although my age now more closely matches the age of Rob than in any previous reading, I identified with him a lot less. There's probably more there than I'm ready to examine.
