Whilst I do think this suffers slightly from ‘second book syndrome’, it is still an enjoyable story that moves things on from the first book.
As with the first, the ‘pacing’ issue still remains, time seems to move in big leaps with big story lines being hurried along. The ‘twists’ in this were also somewhat obvious, although the cliffhanger at the end I did not see coming!
All in all, I think this is a good, and unique series given the saturation of the fantasy market for Fae et al based stories. I’ll definitely be picking up book three.
