All-American Girl by Meg Cabot

2.0

1.5*s at most. Very pedestrian. Not awful, but average beyond repair. The main character is annoying and one of the stupid "not like other girls" contingent, which, of course, means that she is the epitome of mediocrity and exactly like the majority of girls her age. Complete with insufferable pretentiousness.

The plot is both convoluted and formulaic. The other characters are walking cardboard cutouts of ridiculous stereotypes.

Disappointing.
